BMW has announced a major update range of engines for the families of 1-Series, 2-Series, 3-Series, 4-Series and crossover X5. The changes take effect in the summer of 2015.
Firstly, on the 1-Series hatchback will now put the three-cylinder 1.5-liter engine (version 118i) 136 hp With this engine the car can accelerate to 100 km / h in 8.5 seconds with the “mechanics” and 8.7 seconds – with the “automatic”. Consumption will be in the range of 4.8 to 5.4 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers.
Coupe and convertible 2-Series will be equipped with two new diesel units with capacity of 150 and 224 hp (Versions 218d and 225d). Modification without a roof for the first time will receive a full drive by M235i xDrive with engine capacity of 326 hp (4.9 seconds to “hundreds”).
Compact MPV 2-Series GranTourer receive three new engines: a three-cylinder petrol engine for the model 216i (102 hp) and two diesel engines with three or four cylinders, respectively – 95 hp 214d and 190 hp 220d.
“Treshki”, the “quartet” and X5 will get new two-liter diesel, which began on 7 hp more powerful than its predecessors. Versions with model index 18d and 20d are now calculated on the 150 and 190 hp respectively. The most powerful modification of the engine left for X5 – this crossover unit produces 231 hp power and 500 Nm of thrust, allowing the machine to dial first “hundreds” of 7.7 seconds.
In addition, BMW cars third and fourth series will be equipped with a new parking assistant and navigator, and Z4 roadster and coupe M4 will get some new options for paint finishes.
