Renault has officially presented the new budget hatchback called Kwid. The car will be a global model of the brand, but in the first place will be in the Indian market.
It was expected that the car will be called Kayou, but the company decided to keep the name of unusual novelty of the concept car that was shown in 2014 and became a kind of prototype to get the car.
A-class hatchback built on the platform CMF-A, developed with the participation of Renault Nissan. The length of the body of the car is 3680 mm, width is 1580 mm. Clearance – 180 mm. The manufacturer does not specify the parameters of the capacity of the machine, but said that Quid has the best performance in its class. Note that the hatchback is designed to carry five passengers.
Under the hood of the car is a 0.8-liter three-cylinder engine that is mated to a five-step “mechanics”. Power, dynamics and flow rate are kept secret.
